A SHAPE Discovery Session is a 45-60 minute meeting with a volunteer SHAPE Guide who’s goal is to help you find a fulfilling place to serve and express your SHAPE here at Saddleback Church.  These sessions are a follow-up opportunity to CLASS 301 and are extremely well received by our members.

Where do they take place?

SHAPE Discovery Sessions are primarily held at the Ministry Center, [aka: church office].  Saturday and Sunday sessions are typically held on the upper campus, however a neutral location can be worked out between the member and the SHAPE Guide when necessary.

When will I meet with someone?

SHAPE Discovery Sessions are offered at various times of the day and week; however sessions are not available on Friday evenings.

Who do I meet with?

Your SHAPE Discovery Session is facilitated by a trained volunteer SHAPE Guide who will depend on the Holy Spirit to direct your time as you start to explore service opportunities here at Saddleback. We only allow women to meet with women and men to meet with men.

What can I expect?

During your SHAPE Discovery Session your SHAPE Guide will...

• Meet you in the lobby of the church office
• Spend a few minutes getting to know you
• Open your session in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to guide the two of you
• Review your SHAPE Profile and your Serving Sweet Spot
• Determine if the timing is right for you to begin serving
• Put together a Ministry Action Plan which will include 2-3 service opportunities that fit your SHAPE
• Be sure to take the time to answer any questions you may have
• Close your time in prayer
