Let’s face it! The recent economic crisis has affected everyone. With grocery prices increasing dramatically, Saddleback Church’s newest food outreach would like to offer some RELIEF for everyone in the community. Manna is partnering with an organization called Treasure Box.
$30 buys between $75-$100 of high quality grocery store brand food
What is Treasure Box?
Treasure Box pre-packages $75-$100 of high quality grocery store brand food into a box that is designed to feed a family of four for about a week, or a single person for almost a month. It contains between 22-27 pounds of high quality frozen foods, of which 10-12 pounds are proteins (i.e. chicken, beef, pork, and seafood). The box also includes vegetables, fruits, a side dish, and a dessert.
How The Program Works?
Manna takes pre-payment box orders (Cash, Check or Charge) 3-4 weeks in advance. Then, one Saturday a month, the boxes are available for pickup at the Saddleback Church Bridge Lot. Orders for the next month can either be made during pickup, or during the following weekend’s services.
